These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Alshorty platform, iincluding the URL shortener, SmartPages, Link-in-Bio pages, analytics tools, QR code services, APIs, and related applications operated by Alshorty ("we", "us"). By accessing or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptable use

You may use Alshorty and its related tools — including URL shortening, SmartPages, Link-in-Bio pages, QR services, analytics features, and APIs — for lawful and legitimate purposes only. You must NOT use Alshorty to:

Shorten links to phishing pages, malware, or malicious software
Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or deceptive content
Use the service in violation of Google AdSense policies or advertising guidelines
Link to illegal content including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorist content, or content that infringes copyright
Conduct click fraud, bot traffic, or artificial inflation of analytics
Circumvent security measures or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
Create short links for URL obfuscation to deceive users about link destinations
Use the service in a way that harms, disrupts, or overloads our infrastructure

1a. Prohibited industries and content categories

In addition to the restrictions above, you may not use Alshorty in connection with the following industries or content categories:

Adult content, pornography, escort services, or sexually explicit material
Gambling, betting platforms, or unlicensed financial schemes
Illegal drugs, substances, or controlled items
Phishing, impersonation, or scam-related activities
Malware distribution, hacking tools, or exploit kits
Fake investment schemes, cryptocurrency scams, or get-rich-quick programs
Weapons, explosives, or harmful materials
Content that promotes violence, hate, or illegal activity

We reserve the right to remove or disable any link associated with these categories without prior notice.

2. Account registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account and access platform features including dashboard management, analytics, SmartPages, Link-in-Bio pages, API access, and billing features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to register (or 16 years old if you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, per GDPR requirements).

3. Free and Pro plans

The Free plan provides access to core Alshorty platform features, including URL shortening, limited analytics, QR tools, SmartPages, and one Link-in-Bio page, subject to usage limits. Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Razorpay. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your Billing page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We offer refunds only in the following cases:

Technical failure: You were charged but Pro features were not activated or became inaccessible due to a platform error on our end.
Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.

Change-of-mind cancellations do not qualify for a refund after 24 hours of purchase. If you cancel your subscription, you retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused days.

How to request a refund: Email hello@alshorty.com with subject line "Refund Request" and include your Razorpay Payment ID. We will review and respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.

4. Content and links

You retain ownership of any content you link to via Alshorty. By creating a short link, you represent that you have the right to share and link to the destination content and that it does not violate applicable laws.

We may, at our sole discretion, remove, disable, or restrict access to any short link that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or poses a risk to users, third parties, or our platform. We may take such action without prior notice. We are not required to provide notice before disabling a link.

Alshorty acts as an intermediary platform that enables users to create and share short links. We do not create, control, or endorse the content of destination URLs. All content accessed via short links is the sole responsibility of the user who created the link.

We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or harm arising from the use of any short link, including but not limited to fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content hosted on third-party websites.

We reserve the right to remove or disable any link at our sole discretion, without liability or obligation to provide prior notice, especially in cases involving abuse, legal risk, or policy violations.

5. Legal compliance and reporting

We may investigate and take appropriate action against any user or link that violates applicable laws or these Terms. We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities and disclose information as required by law.

6. API usage

API and developer platform access are available on eligible Pro plans. Your API key is confidential — do not share it publicly. We may rate-limit or suspend API access if we detect abuse or violation of these Terms.

6a. Service modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification or discontinuation of the service.

7. Intellectual property

Alshorty, its logo, SmartPages platform, Link-in-Bio platform, analytics systems, APIs, dashboards, QR infrastructure, and proprietary technology are owned by us. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on Alshorty's proprietary systems.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Alshorty is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee 100% uptime, although we target 99.9% availability. We are not responsible for, and do not monitor, the content of destination URLs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alshorty and its operators, affiliates, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Service interruptions or downtime
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
Reliance on any content accessed through short links

Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the use of the service shall not exceed the greater of:

The amount paid by you to Alshorty in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
$5 (Five USD)

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9a. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alshorty and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the service
Your violation of these Terms
Any content or links you create, share, or distribute

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your short links will be disabled.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India.

12. Grievance Officer (India IT Rules 2021)

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, you may raise complaints or concerns related to content or your account to our Grievance Officer:
